Territory Sales Manager

Vancouver Island

JOB SUMMARY

Central City Brewers and Distillers is a total alcohol supplier with Award winning Craft Beer and Spirits, Cider and Coolers. As Territory Sales Manager – Vancouver Island; you are responsible for the sales and representation on the entire Vancouver Island, which includes Key accounts, Retail and On-Premise.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and develop strategies in the designated sales territory to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets and company growth objectives
  • Service existing accounts on a regular calendar basis
  • Identify and target possible new accounts
  • Monitor and analyse your competition by gathering current marketplace information
  • Resolve customer service issues
  • Maintain detailed records on customer/accounts interaction
  • Achieve sales quotas and targets, and report on deviations
  • Participate in regular sales team meetings
  • Submit weekly territory reviews
  • Participate as needed in industry events, festivals and activities such as customer promotions, trade associations, etc
  • Train and educate new accounts and staff on craft beer and Central City Products

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Distillery Assistant

Surrey

Central City is a craft brewery in the business of developing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high quality distilled spirits brewed without compromise. Based in Surrey, British Columbia, CCBD was voted Canada Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. It’s Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America. Founded in 2003 as a brewpub and liquor store in downtown Surrey, CCBD celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2013 with the grand opening of a brand new, 68,000 sq.ft brewery and distillery on Bridgeview Drive. It opened a second restaurant in downtown Vancouver, Red Racer Restaurant on Beatty Street in 2015.

JOB SUMMARY

This role is primarily responsible for monitoring distillations to ensure production of consistent, high-quality spirits to specification.

Adherence to all documentation practices and Quality standards.

Regular communication with Operations Manager, Head Distiller, Brewers and QC personnel to ensure successful management of production goals, and the maintenance of product quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operation of stills/Spirit Production
  • Spirit transfers/Barrel Filling
  • Packaging of spirits
  • Cleaning and sanitation of equipment
  • Assisting distillery and brewery departments as required
  • Other duties as dictated by production requirements.

  • Ability to meet the requirements of this physically demanding role i.e. strength to repeatedly lift 25kg bags, mobility to work in tight places, willingness to work in hot/cold/humid/dry conditions, vitality to remain standing and on the move for 8 hours etc.
  • As this position is based in Surrey, BC it is expected that all applicants will be able to display valid work rights for Canada.

Bar & Events Manager

Beatty Brewpub

Central City Beatty St. Brewpub is currently seeking for a Bar and Events Manager to join our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Set objectives and targets for beverage unit/bar
Scheduling of Bar Staff
Ordering of all stock not only including beverages but also consumables and bar equipment
Communicate draft beer changes to the bar team as well as the service team
Complete bi-weekly inventory counts
Data entering of invoices in to Optimum
Coordinate any repairs needed to any equipment pertaining to the bar
Ensure the cleanliness of the bar is kept at a high standard
Coordinate with the General Manager any beverage menu changes and needs
Plan and implement cost control measures
Plan and implement systems to maximize sales and revenue
Organize promotional activities
Generate and present financial reports
Contribute ideas for upcoming events and promotions
Hiring, firing and training of bar staff
Overseeing the day to day running of the bar

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills for not only staff but customers

Beatty Brewpub

JOB SUMMARY

Directly responsible for the management, hiring and training and development of the restaurant staff both Front of house. Supporting the General Manager in controlling labour, and cost of goods. Implementing sales and marketing plans to increase sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

JOB SUMMARY

Shift Brewer

Surrey

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our products by following appropriate Standard Operating Manuals.  Tasks include, but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, milling of grain, wort production, fermentation monitoring, yeast handling and pitching, clarification, transfers, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP and general sanitation, parts and hose maintenance, and additional cellar and brewhouse duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior experience in production brewery setting.
  • Familiarity with brewhouse software platforms would be advantageous.
  • International recognised brewing qualification (e.g. IBD, Herriot Watt, Siebel, UCD); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrable passion for craft beer.
  • Forklift certified desirable
  • Excellent time management, and ability to multi-task.
