Bar & Events Manager

Beatty Brewpub

Central City Beatty St. Brewpub is currently seeking for a Bar and Events Manager to join our team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Set objectives and targets for beverage unit/bar
Scheduling of Bar Staff
Ordering of all stock not only including beverages but also consumables and bar equipment
Communicate draft beer changes to the bar team as well as the service team
Complete bi-weekly inventory counts
Data entering of invoices in to Optimum
Coordinate any repairs needed to any equipment pertaining to the bar
Ensure the cleanliness of the bar is kept at a high standard
Coordinate with the General Manager any beverage menu changes and needs
Plan and implement cost control measures
Plan and implement systems to maximize sales and revenue
Organize promotional activities
Generate and present financial reports
Contribute ideas for upcoming events and promotions
Hiring, firing and training of bar staff
Overseeing the day to day running of the bar

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills for not only staff but customers
A brand ambassador for our restaurants and Central City Brewers and Distillers.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and take on new duties and responsibilities is a must.
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, point of sale system, inventory system and email.

Shift Brewer

Surrey

This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our products by following appropriate Standard Operating Manuals.  Tasks include, but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, milling of grain, wort production, fermentation monitoring, yeast handling and pitching, clarification, transfers, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP and general sanitation, parts and hose maintenance, and additional cellar and brewhouse duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS / DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior experience in production brewery setting.
  • Familiarity with brewhouse software platforms would be advantageous.
  • International recognised brewing qualification (e.g. IBD, Herriot Watt, Siebel, UCD); or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrable passion for craft beer.
  • Forklift certified desirable
  • Excellent time management, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance / quality control and problem-solving skills and to troubleshoot any beer related issues.

Packaging Operator

Surrey

This role is primarily responsible for filling packaging orders and the daily operation of supporting equipment across all packaging lines including bottle line, can line, and keg line, along with general cleanup and sanitation duties.

  • High School/General Education Diploma required.
  • Prior bottling / canning experience a plus.
  • Prior experience in production brewery setting.
  • Demonstrable passion for craft beer.
  • Forklift certified desirable

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.

Quality Technician

Surrey

This role is responsible for all aspects of quality within the brewery. You will be responsible for ensuring the brewhouse and production lines are operating as per the quality program. This position is a contract position from February through August 2018.

• Science experience, BSc or similar education
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Brewpub General Manager

Surrey

The General Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our Surrey Brewpub Restaurant. Directly responsible for the management, hiring and training and development of the restaurant staff both Front of house and Back of house. Controlling overheads, labor and food and beverage cost of goods. Implementing sales and marketing plans to increase sales.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Completion of a 2-year Hospitality Management Diploma or Certificate
  • Candidate must be well organised, detail and number orientated with excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and take on new duties and responsibilities is a must.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of database, spreadsheets, word processing, point of sale system, inventory system and email.
